Returns and Cancellations


Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel or change your order, please contact us right away. By placing an order with us you are agreeing to these terms.

Shipped Orders
Once an item has shipped it may not be canceled.If you refuse an order, it will then fall under our refused shipment policy, where round-trip shipping costs will be deducted from your refund. The customer is responsible for round trip shipping charges even if Design Quest paid for the original shipment (i.e. Free Shipping).

Special Orders
Special Orders can rarely be canceled. Special orders can only be canceled if the manufacturer allows. We will need to check with the manufacturer before an order can be canceled. Deposits on Special Orders are not refundable.

Stocked Merchandise
Regular Stock Merchandise may be canceled prior to shipment. You may cancel your order by contacting us. You will not be charged a cancellation fee if you cancel your purchase in accordance with the instructions above. If you follow the procedures outlined above, a full refund will be issued on in-stock merchandise.

We reserve the right to cancel your purchase for any reason, at our sole discretion, including but not limited to fraud, inaccuracies, and unavailability of the items or services purchased. We will let you know immediately if we plan on cancelling your purchase.

We will issue you a refund of the full purchase price that you paid if we cancel your purchase.

Returns and Exchanges

Returns and Exchanges must take place within 30 days of taking possession of your purchase, and must be accompanied by the original sales receipt. Items must be unused and in their original condition.

Small Accessories

To return a small accessory, simply send it back to us using your preferred shipping method. All returns must be authorized by Design Quest by calling 616-940-9911 or emailing sales@designquest.biz.

Please include your original Order number and the Return Authorization Credit Memo number given to you by our sales staff. You are responsible for shipping the item back to us in a way that ensures the merchandise will not be damaged in transit.

Large Items

Unassembled furniture must be in the original unopened carton. Furniture that has been opened or assembled is subject to a 25% restocking charge. A pickup fee will be charged for items picked up by Design Quest. If you decide to return an item you will be responsible for all shipping charges, both to you and back to us. For Items that ship free our cost to ship to you will be deducted from your refund.

If the item is defective or damaged when you receive it, we will gladly replace or repair it at our cost. Please read “Damaged Shipments” under our Shipping and Deliveries Policy to learn more about how to handle these types of situations.

Customers receiving damaged or defective merchandise should contact Design Quest immediately.

Refunds & Policies for Returned Items

Items must be unused, in their original condition, and in their original packaging. If we receive a returned item that shows signs of wear or use, a restocking fee will apply or a credit may not be issued.

  • The return must be within 30 days of receiving the item.
  • Once we receive your return, please allow 1-2 weeks for processing. Refunds are made in the
same form as the original payment or by store credit. If your returned product is in its original condition and packaging, you will be refunded the full purchase price of the item less any shipping costs incurred by us.
  • If the return is not due to damaged merchandise, you are responsible for shipping the returned item to us.

Items that cannot be returned

  • Special Order items
  • Bedding, Pillows and Mattresses
  • Gift cards are non-returnable and non-refundable.
  • We cannot accept returns on items damaged through normal wear and tear.

Please keep in mind that some policies may be different in our physical stores.
