Thumbnail Filmstrip of Georg Jensen Damask EASTER Damask Tablecloth Images
Description
Work on the Easter Tablecloth began in 1978 and the design remains a classic harbinger of spring with its stylised chicks and eggs that are part of the Easter season. The tablecloth has now been re-launched in a soft shade of yellow that not only reflects the present, but also reaches way back into the past. Bodil Bødtker-Næss, who was one the inner-circle of textile designers at Georg Jensen Damask in the 1970s, and was also responsible for the classic Christmas heart motif that is a signature design of the damask collection, designed the motif. Thanks to its graphic simplicity, the beautiful Easter motif possesses the same timeless elegance. The refined yellow of the Easter Tablecloth not only serves as the perfect backdrop for the decorations and traditions of the Easter lunch, which brings generations of families together at the table. It has also become a tradition in itself and is a joy to bring out each Easter, year after year. Matching napkins woven in linen complete the expression.Specifications
