WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE (Part-Time):

Design Quest is looking for a bright, energetic individual to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and works both independently and with team members to complete tasks. Must be capable of offering superior customer service and communicate well with other departments in our store. Attention to detail is a must and all furniture must be handled with the utmost care.

Design Quest is searching for an applicant able to work 8-16 hours. Saturdays required; option for additonal 8 hours, flexible to applicants schedule, M-F. This is an ideal job for a college student.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receive incoming merchandise, add barcode labeling, and scan into location in the warehouse
• Assist customers with warehouse pickups. Load merchandise into customers vehicle
• Prepare and assemble furniture and accessories for showroom displays
• Locate, Inspect, and Assemble sold items prior to delivery or pickup
• Lift, carry, push, pull furniture and packages on a continuous and regular basis
• Help with showroom staging, including: occasional wall painting, arranging and installation of rugs, art, furniture and wall-systems
• Communicate politely and effectively with customers, sales, office and warehouse staff, and leadership
• General, light building maintenance
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Maintain a clean and safe environment and keep work areas clean and organized
• Operate hand truck, pallet jack, order picker

REQUIREMENTS:

• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to read and follow instructions
• Flexible schedule
• Must be able to lift heavy items
• All furniture must be handled with the utmost care
• Working knowledge of tools - ability to assemble furniture is a plus
• Attention to detail - must be able to understand and match labels with product
• A clean and presentable appearance is required as there will be interaction with customers
• Flexible - Can handle a variety of tasks throughout the day
